Biographical notes:

Michał Kocot is a graduate of the Academies of Music in Kraków, Katowice and Freiburg im Breisgau, where he studied organ, harpsichord and organ improvisation (among others under the supervision of J. Serafin and J. Gembalski). As part of the "Erasmus" program, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. He was twice a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and in 2015 he received the "Young Poland" scholarship for outstanding achievements in the field of art. In 2018 he obtained the title of Doctor of Arts. He is a laureate of organ competitions in Brno, Freiberg, Kaliningrad, Nuremberg, Poznań and Wiesbaden. He works at the Institute of Music at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Zielona Góra and at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

Bartłomiej Nizioł graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Poznań, then continued his studies at the Conservatoire de Lausanne. He won first places at the most important international violin competitions in Poznań, Adelaide, Pretoria, Brussels, and Paris. He was awarded the Fryderyk three times. As a soloist, he performed with such orchestras as: the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warszawa, Sinfonia Varsovia, NOSPR in Katowice, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, NDR in Hanover, SWR in Kaiserslautern, Radio France in Paris, the English Chamber, the London Symphony, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Edmonton Symphony. He has lived in Switzerland since 1995. In the years 1997–2003 he was the concertmaster of the Tonhalle Orchestra, and since 2003 he has been the concertmaster of the Zurich Opera Orchestra. He is the principal of the Valentin Berlinsky Quartet, founded in 2010. Since 2008, he has been a professor at the Hochschule der Künste Bern.
