Biographical notes:
Maciej Wota is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warszawa in the piano class of prof. J. Sterczyński and the organ classes of prof. J. Malanowicz and prof. A. Chorosiński. Since 2018, he has been an assistant at the Piano Department of his home university. He has participated in piano master classes and is a laureate of many piano competitions in Poland and abroad (Antonin, Budapest, Bydgoszcz). He has performed recitals at music festivals in Poland and abroad (Europe, North America, Australia).
Dariusz Przybylski graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in 2008 in the composition class of prof. M. Błażewicz and the organ class of prof. A. Chorosiński. He also studied in Cologne, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt am Main. He was a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the National Centre for Culture, DAAD, among others. He is a laureate of international and national composition competitions. He composed on commission from, among others, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Warszawa Chamber Opera, the National Forum of Music. In 2016 he obtained the degree of doctor habilitated. He teaches composition at his alma mater in Warszawa; he has given guest lectures in Europe, Asia and North America.
Katarzyna Dondalska studied at the music academies in Gdańsk and Würzburg (including under the supervision of H. Mickiewiczówna), obtaining an instrumental diploma (violin) and vocal diploma with distinction in the master class. She is a finalist and laureate of international vocal competitions, including in Luxembourg, Germany and Great Britain. She has sung in opera houses and concert halls all over the world (Europe, Asia, both Americas). She has participated in recording 16 albums for the Acte Préalable publishing house. For her outstanding artistic achievements in the country and around the world, the local governments of Olsztyn and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship awarded her the "Icons of Warmia and Mazury 2018" award, and in 2022 she received the West Pomeranian Nobel Prize. In 2021, she received the title of Professor of Musical Arts from the President of Poland. She lectures at the Academy of Art in Szczecin and is a guest lecturer at the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic).
Choir of the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin (formerly the Choir of the Maritime Academy) has been present on the music scene for 21 years. The ensemble has taken part in hundreds of concerts and gone on dozens of international tours, performing throughout Europe, as well as in Asia and both Americas, winning 86 festival awards (including 14 Grand Prix and 52 gold medals). The choir has performed many premieres of works by Polish composers (e.g. M. Bembinow, M. Jasiński, J. Stalmierski, J. Sykulski), and has been invited to collaborate with Polish and foreign artists (including A. Bocelli, K. Dębski, J.K. Pawluśkiewicz, K. Penderecki, A. Piaseczny, St. Soyka, Z. Wodecki). The choir has released 11 CDs and 18 music videos. In 2019, he was awarded the honorary title of "Ambassador of Szczecin", and in 2021 the "Made in Szczecin" brand certificate.
Jacek Sykulski is a composer, conductor and choirmaster. His passion for music largely determines his personal and professional life, and his compositions and choral arrangements, performed by famous ensembles and artists, are highly appreciated by audiences and critics. Since 1990, he has received numerous commissions for large compositions, the premiere performances of which under his direction have taken place in significant places around the world (USA, Canada, Taiwan, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland). Since 2003, he has been the director of the Poznań Boys' Choir. Under his leadership, the ensemble has reached a new level of artistry, gaining an international reputation. For Sykulski, the human voice is the fundamental and most beautiful of all instruments, unlimited in its capacity for expression. He is constantly searching for new forms of musical expression, and together with the bands he leads, he sets new directions in Polish and international vocal art.
Alicja Kondzioła is a student at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. She is studying, among others, in the solo singing class of prof. dr hab. K. Dondalska. She has performed solo parts in oratorio-cantata works, and has won competition awards. She is also a scholarship holder of the Rector of the Academy of Art.
Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch is a graduate of the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. She has won about 100 awards around the world with the Choir of the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin. She is the winner of numerous individual awards for the best conductor (including in Bratislava, Gorizia, Prague). In 2021, at the World Choir Festival in Hong Kong, she won a diploma as one of the 10 best conductors out of over 200 participants from around the world. She founded the Pomerania Singers vocal group, is a juror and originator of the Wspólne Brzmienia project, and manages the Center for Academic Culture of the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin. She is a professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. For her services to choral music and charity work, she has been awarded, among others: Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, Silver Cross of Merit, Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis, West Pomeranian Nobel Prize in the field of artistic sciences.
