Biographical notes:
Alexander De Bie
Born in 2001, he began his musical journey at the age of five, taking his first piano lessons from his father, Jacek de Bie. In the following years, he continued his studies with the Georgian pianist Nino Gvetadze. At the age of six, he began studying organ with the eminent Dutch organist Jos van der Kooy in the Class for Young Talents at the Amsterdam Conservatory. He graduated with distinction from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, in the class of Professor Martin Haselböck. He is currently continuing his virtuoso studies at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig, in the class of Professor Martin Schmeding. He has performed in cathedrals in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Paris, and Vienna, and in 2025 toured Brazil. He is a laureate of international competitions, including those in Wiesbaden and St. Maurice.
Jakub Jakowicz
at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under the supervision of his father, Krzysztof. He was also the last student of T. Wroński. As a teenager, at the invitation of K. Penderecki, he performed in Kraków, performing his Capriccio per violino e orchestra under the baton of J. Maksymiuk. He is a winner of first prizes at violin competitions in Lublin, Wattrelos (France), and Takasaki (Japan). He has performed worldwide, including with renowned orchestras, including the National Philharmonic and Concerto Köln. As a chamber musician, he has formed a violin duo with his father for years, and since 2000, a duo with pianist B. Bednarczyk. He is a member of the Zehetmair Quartett, with whom he recorded the Diapason d'Or-winning album featuring works by B. Bartók and P. Hindemith. He is a two-time winner of the Fryderyk Award. He has performed and taught as a guest artist at the Australian Academy of Music (ANAM) in Melbourne. He is a professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Academy of Music in Katowice.
